And Finally some Class

I love watching Real Housewives.  My favorite show is Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but I also enjoy Real Housewives of Orange County, New Jersey and New York.  Real Housewives of D.C. was interesting, because it was a lot more political, but they only did one season, as far as I know.

The Real Housewives are notorious for being overly dramatic, and never, ever letting an insult go when it can be played out for hours of overly dramatic tv.  This gets old after a while.  Are these women really that uninteresting that they have to resort to fighting to get screen time?  Getting along can be interesting too.

However, the newest edition to Real Housewives of Orange County is a classy woman, who has (finally) started getting the ladies to behave.  She keeps telling the other Housewives to take the higher road, and to let insults go, because they just aren't worth it.

She also doesn't believe in discussing one's sex life on tv-- which is great-- and means she keeps getting into small squabbles with the other housewives about the information they are giving to America about their bedroom habits.  She keeps telling them they aren't being classy.  Also, in an interview she said said "how déclassé."  This made me happy, because I say it all the time.

Personally, I don't think people should be classless.  There are things one shouldn't talk about.  And I think the Real Housewife shows could do with some classing up-- I like watching to see the pretty clothes, and the fun parties, not to hear about what they do with their boyfriends when no one is around.

Thank you for this post. Really, there are some things people don't want to know about other people's lives. This is why we don't talk about it.
