Fashion Week

So, I have had several requests to include pictures of the oddly dressed people I see around New York City.  A few weeks ago, I went to Fashion Week, and I saw some people that I knew I would blog about, and this time I got pictures.

Fashion Week was everything I dreamed it would be and more.  Finally, I realized my lifelong dream of walking among the tents, among fashion's elite.  It was sparkly, and wonderful, with lots of free swag.  And of, course, there were some fashion risk takers as well.

The girl with the ice-skating costume on: this first girl I noticed from across the room.  I was like "what is she wearing, she doesn't have clothes on."  Well, technically her torso was covered, but not much else.  Her dress was short, so short you could almost call it a leotard.  And it was ruched, and it kept creeping up and getting shorter and shorter.  After I took a picture of her, I saw her pull the hem down, so it came a whole 3 inches down her thigh.

The lady in the hat: I enjoyed this next fashion risk a lot more than the first one.  This lady wore a feathered hat to fashion week.  I thought the hat was awesome; it reminded me of Princess Kate's wedding to Prince William.  Someday, I hope to own a hat, and I shall have formal teas, just so I can wear it.  Though, I don't think my hat will be as feathery as this one.

Feathered hat.

Fashion Week was a lot of fun.  I hope to return next year.  In furtherance of that goal, I need to find a job in the fashion industry.  Here's hoping a fashion house is looking for a young lawyer!

As one of those people who had begged you for pictures, I humbly thank you. Keep them coming!

I think it takes a certain kind of confidence to wear a feathered hat like that in today's world.
