Today I made the yummiest burgers I have every eaten-- And they were turkey burgers. (Oh, so healthy!) Turkey is tricky, because it can be dry or tasteless, but these burgers were perfectly moist, and bursting with flavor.
Tasty Turkey Burger Recipe (makes 4 servings)
1 lb ground turkey (dark meat included)
3/4 cup diced mushroom
1/2 cup roughly chopped craisins
1 egg
2 teaspoons horseradish mustard
2 teaspoons minced roasted garlic
2 dashes orange peel
salt
pepper
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
olive oil
Mix all the ingredients (except olive oil) in a bowl. Shape into 4 patties. If grilling, drizzle with olive oil before placing on the grill. If frying on the stove, heat olive oil (about 3 tablespoons) in a frying pan set on medium, and then place the patties in the oil once it is hot.
Cook until done. Melt cheese onto patties if desired. Great served with avacado and Pice de Gallo salsa on a poppy seed Kaiser roll.
